Description
The Countryside Scarf is born of a collaboration: Alma Mater weaves with yarns produced some by local artisans, others by those who devote themselves to spinning by hand — different hands contributing to a result that is unique and collective.
The warp is multicoloured — several yarns in dialogue, with no hierarchy between them — and the weft follows a free creative logic, with no regular pattern, changing with every pass of the shuttle. Like a woven painting.
Dimensions: 0.45 × 1.35 m
Materials: 100% Portuguese wool, spun by several producers
Production technique: Hand-woven on an artisan loom, multicoloured warp, free weft, no set pattern
Washing care: Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water (max. 30 °C) with a mild wool detergent. We recommend using fabric softener at first to soften the fibres, which grow softer with use.
Drying: Lay flat to dry in the shade — never machine-dry or dry in direct sunlight.
Storage: Folded, in a dry, well-aired place.
Note: Wool may shed small fibres in the first few washes — this is normal and lessens with use.
