Description
The Sand Collar is born of a dialogue between territories: merino wool from the Alentejo and yarns hand-spun by a weaver from Portalegre — a city with one of Portugal’s richest textile traditions, where the art of spinning and weaving has never stopped. Two origins, two techniques, one collar that unites them with simplicity and intention.
The merino wool brings softness and warmth — fine fibres that wrap the neck without weight, without prickle, with the temperature naturally regulated. The yarn hand-spun in Portalegre adds texture and presence, with the irregularity of human work that no machine can imitate. Together they create a surface that is at once refined and alive.
Dimensions: 0.65 × 0.22 m
Materials: Merino wool
Production technique: Hand-woven on an artisan loom
Washing care: Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water (max. 30 °C) with a mild detergent for delicate fibres. No fabric softener needed.
Drying: Lay flat to dry in the shade — never machine-dry or dry in direct sunlight.
Storage: Folded, in a dry, well-aired place.
Note: Wool may shed small fibres in the first few washes — this is normal and lessens with use.
